ZYFAN:

ZYFAN:

and I’m not ready to do that, just yet.

KARANTHIR:

ZYFAN:

KARANTHIR:

 I wasted a whole night outdoors, when I could have been alone in here with you.

KARANTHIR:

 Where are you going?

ZYFAN:

 I thought you were ... Karanthir do you require any sleep at all?

KARANTHIR: 

Of course. Even though I was out, I slept some.

ZYFAN:

 Where did you go?

KARANTHIR: 

Wandered about. Then I ran into ... some acquaintances.

ZYFAN: 

May I meet them, these friends of yours?

KARANTHIR:

 They’re not my friends.

ZYFAN:

KARANTHIR: 

They’re just … people I know from the neighborhood. You don’t 

need to meet them. They're not important.

ZYFAN:

 Are you ashamed of me?

KARANTHIR:

 Never. I just … couldn't guarantee your safety. They're vampires and I need you to keep clear of them. They can be dangerous.

ZYFAN:
Is it your opinion that I am incapable of taking care of myself? I am 

a trained warrior who has lived through many battles. Tell me what is it about me that makes everyone think I am so fragile.

KARANTHIR: 

Everyone? Just who is everyone?

KARANTHIR:

Seriously, you actually wanted to help?

ZYFAN:

 Of course, it is our room.

KARANTHIR:

I never would've volunteered - and risked the possibility of
chipping a nail, really? Manual labor is just not my thing.
I’m above it, and so are you.

KARANTHIR:

 Absolutely. And just for the record, those vampires really are dangerous. They’re not like Es or myself. They were once human.

ZYFAN: 

What difference does that make?

KARANTHIR:

When humans become vampires, they become unstable. Es thinks

it has something to do with immortality. We elves already live long lives,  so the new blood doesn’t change us much. But humans can become downright evil. They just can't take it.

ZYFAN:

KARANTHIR: 

I was bored and they can be highly entertaining. However, 

now that we have our own room, I expect to be kept 

thoroughly stimulated. I just want to be with you.

KARANTHIR:

… Now I've grown tired and think I'll try
to get some sleep.

ZYFAN:
